Jellyfish Craft 🪼
A wiggly paper jellyfish that dances in the air.
What you need
- 1 paper plate
- Crepe paper or tissue paper (or cut paper into strips)
- Crayons or markers
- Glue stick
- String or yarn (optional, to hang it)
- Child-safe scissors
Steps
1
Color the outside of the paper plate to look like a jellyfish dome — try blue, pink, or purple.
2
Cut 6–8 long strips of tissue paper or crepe paper for the tentacles.
3
Glue the top of each strip to the bottom edge of the paper plate.
4
Draw two eyes on the plate — make them big and silly!
5
Poke a small hole at the top and tie string through it. Hang your jellyfish and watch the tentacles wiggle!

Ocean Learning Fun 🌊
Count, observe, and discover the wonders of the sea.
🐟 Count the Fish
Look at your coloring page:
- Count all the fish out loud — "One, two, three..."
- How many bubbles can you find?
- Draw 5 more fish on a separate paper and count to 10
- Ask: "If we add one more fish, how many is that?"
🔤 Ocean Letters
Practice letter sounds with ocean words:
- W is for Whale — "W-W-Whale"
- F is for Fish — "F-F-Fish"
- S is for Starfish — "S-S-Starfish"
- J is for Jellyfish — "J-J-Jellyfish"
- Can you think of more ocean words?
🔍 Size Sorting
Talk about big and small sea creatures:
- "Which is bigger — a whale or a fish?"
- "Which is smaller — a seahorse or a shark?"
- Line up your sea creatures from smallest to biggest
- Use your hands to show BIG and small
🌊 Water Science
Simple sink or float experiment:
- Fill a bowl with water
- Gather small safe items (spoon, leaf, toy, cork)
- Before putting each in, ask: "Will it sink or float?"
- Watch what happens and talk about it!
