Paper Plate Sun ☀️
A cheerful sun with golden rays to brighten any room.
What you need
- 1 paper plate
- Yellow and orange construction paper
- Child-safe scissors
- Glue stick
- Crayons or markers (yellow, orange)
Steps

Color the paper plate yellow all over — this is your sun's face.

Draw a big smiley face on the plate — two eyes, a nose, and a wide smile.

Cut 8–10 long triangles from yellow and orange paper for sun rays.

Glue the triangles around the edge of the plate, alternating yellow and orange.

Hang your sun in the window or on the wall. Every time you see it, say: "What's the weather today?"

Learn about numbers and temperature:
- Look at a thermometer together
- Count the numbers on it

- Draw a thermometer and color it red at the top

Make a simple rain cloud:
- Fill a clear cup with water
- Top with shaving cream (the cloud)
- Drop blue food coloring on top
- Watch the "rain" fall through the cloud!
