2
Draw a big smiley face on the plate — two eyes, a nose, and a wide smile.
3
Cut 8–10 long triangles from yellow and orange paper for sun rays.
4
Glue the triangles around the edge of the plate, alternating yellow and orange.
5
Hang your sun in the window or on the wall. Every time you see it, say: "What's the weather today?"

Weather Learning Fun 🌤️

Observe, track, and learn about the sky above us.

📊 Weather Chart

Track the weather all week:

  • Draw 7 boxes on paper for each day
  • Each day, draw a sun, cloud, rain, or snow in the box
  • At the end of the week, count: "How many sunny days?"
  • Ask: "Which weather did we see the most?"

🔤 Weather Words

Practice letter sounds:

  • S is for Sun — "S-S-Sun"
  • C is for Cloud — "C-C-Cloud"
  • R is for Rain — "R-R-Rain"
  • W is for Wind — "W-W-Wind"
  • S is for Snow — "S-S-Snow"

🔢 Temperature Counting

Learn about numbers and temperature:

  • Look at a thermometer together
  • Count the numbers on it
  • "When it's hot, the number goes up!"
  • "When it's cold, the number goes down"
  • Draw a thermometer and color it red at the top

🌧️ Rain Science

Make a simple rain cloud:

  • Fill a clear cup with water
  • Top with shaving cream (the cloud)
  • Drop blue food coloring on top
  • Watch the "rain" fall through the cloud!
  • Talk about how rain falls from real clouds
